The day of my graduation I got grad money and had been wanting to get something pierced. So with the help of my boyfriend and after thinking it thru and thinking about the fact that I can also take it out and it will just leave a small freckle like mark I decided to get my monroe pierced.

The only other piercings I had was my ears triple pierced and my cartilage twice, so I was kinda nervous. I went to a place downtown that was the only piercing place around before this year and has been there for for a very long time. Its called Out On A Whim and there is only one piercer that works there. Hes really professional and went over everything that he was going to do. I told him I wanted to get a Monroe and he said there is no such thing, Do you mean a marilyn? I said sure. Lol. Right before I went in the back room I started to get really nervous.

he marked the spot and my boyfriend asked if it could be moved at all and he said I could get it done on either side but only one spot because hes notgonna be responsible for thousands of dollars worth of dental work later on. I personally like the spot he puts it in because it farther up closer to the nose and less by the lip. I didnt even feel the needle go thru but when he slipped the stud thru which connects onto the needle it pinched a little. Afterwards he gave me a solution to mix with a gallon of water and told me how to clean it. His suggestion is 3 times a day for 3 weeks then 2 times a day for 3 weeks. Then at 6 weeks you can change it but it wont be fully healed till 6 months.

It hasnt really bothered me it was kinda sore for about a day and then a little less then a week later in scabbed and bled a little, but that only lasted for about 2 days. I’ve had it now for about a weeks and a half and its healing really good. I think it looks really cute and would recommend it to anyone.

MY NAME IS JASMINE. I ALWAYS SEEN GIRLS AROUND HERE GETTING THE TOP OF THERE EARS PIERCED. I THOUGHT IT WAS CUTE AND TO FIT IN I WANTED TO GO GET IT.

SO I WAS GOING TO GO ASK MY MOM COULD I GO GET IT DONE. BUT AS YOU KNOW HOW MOTHERS ARE….SHE SAID NO. WHICH I WAS MAD SO I SAID FORGET IT AND ASKED MY DAD WHICH HE SAID YES…[DADDYS GIRL].

SO THE NEXT DAY ME AND MY BESTFRIEND WENT TO THIS TATTOO AND PIERCING PARLOR CALLED DINO’S WHICH IS VERY POPULAR HERE. AND DINO WAS THE NAME OF THE GUY WHO PIERCED IT. I WAS SO SCARED. BUT BEFORE HE DID IT HE SHOWED ME HOW HE WAS GOING TO DO IT.

SO HE TOOK HIS PIERCING GUN AND I MADE MY BESTFRIEND HOLD MY HAND. THEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO COUNT TO THREE…THEN I SCREAMED! IT HURTED SO BAD. THEY SAY THE HIGHER YOU GET UP ON YOUR EAR THE WORST IT HURTS. BUT AFTER WE LEFT I WENT HOME TO FACE MY MOM. WHICH SHE AS MAD BUT I DIDNT CARE.

I THOUGHT I WAS CUTE BUT IT HURTED AND THEY SAY “PAIN IS BEAUTY.” MY NEXT STEP IS TO GET MY TONGUE PIERCED.

well as u know im into piercings and i currently have 5 piercings alltogether and the one i got most recently was my corset piercing i usually think of body piercings as an artform and thats why i wanted to get a corset piercing done i knew it would be a painful piercing so i got it on my back instead of on my side bec then id have to get both sides done and deal with more pain!

so my back was the best choice first i saved up some money to get them done all at once as to not prolong the pain the piercing did cost a fortune adding up to $160.00 it almost broke me as i had 8 piercings on each side totaling to 16 ouch! when i got there the piercer was nice and frendly and said he had done corset piercings before and to not worry he first ckeaned off my back with sterilizer making shure my back was clean and germ free then he numed my back and made it so it wouldnt hurt as much

then he marked where the holes could go and he showed me the placement and asked if i liked it when i agreed then he stated piercing my back one by one it didnt hurt as much since he nummed my entire back once he was done with my whole back it took 3 hrs to do it completely then he put tape over each one so i didnt rip or tear one off accidently then when i got home i didnt take off the tape till 2 weeks after the piercing to makeshure it healed right this piercing is a fun but painful piercing and if ur that type of person that cant handle pain then i dont recomend this type of piercing

Next thing I know, I was laying down in the chair, and the guy was getting everything ready. I was SOOO nervous! I am a fainter, BIG time (i fainted when getting my belly button pierced ha). I just remember saying to the guy, “Do count down, or tell me to breathe in and out, JUST DO IT!” So my sister-in-law talked to me and then, BAM, it happened!

It did not hurt as much as i thought, and it came out great! It doesnt look “edgy” also, it looks super cute.
Who knows what I’ll get next????

Since i am here i obviously love body piercings and such. i wanted my septum pierced for a while.

There was something primal about that really appealed to me. i went to my favorite shop and they said that the only person who did septums had left a half an hour ago. i was already pumped to get it right then. so my friend and i went to another shop that i have been pierced at a few times before. still excellent just a tad pricier. they could do it right then.

So i paid and went back to the room once it was ready. my piercer had done my antritragus a couple of years ago so i was cool with her doing it. she explained everything as she examined my nose and found the proper placing. she lined it up for a while and then pierced. i always think that piercings are going to be so painful. every time even if i have had it before but it truely did not hurt. it just made my eyes water.

She asked me how i took care of my other piercings so i told her and she handed me the standard pamphlet for after care ad said to clean it like i have been taking care of my other piercings. it has been good so far. one of my jobs lets me have it and the other doesnt, so guess which one i will be quitting. i just will have to flip it up for the next two week ends that i will be employed there. it feels uncomfortable… but i hate not giving two weeks notice so i will suffer.

I have never thought about getting my tongue pierced ever…at first I wanted a surface piercing on my wrist but they didn’t do that, so I went home and thought about what I am gonna do, so then I thought about a tongue piercing and wasn’t sure if I should get something like that pierced cuz I have heard a lot about a tongue piercing that wasn’t so good…

I was afraid they might hit the veins and my face would go numb, stuff like that…the next day I said heck with it and I decided to go get my tongue pierced…nervous as can be no pain when I got it done it was surprisingly easy. they told me to use mouth wash 3 times a day for about 4 weeks to clean the piercing out then i could change the barbel. now it has been 3 days and everything is still fine no infection nothin wrong, I am so glad I got it done, the piercer did a wonderful job getting it straight and perfect! you just got to find the right piercer.

Piercings are a great artform in todays society and most people leave it to the professonals but theres a few set of people that do it themselves!

And i am one of them i wanted to get my snakebites done so i first got a set of 14g horseshoe lip piercings and sterilized them then i got out my curved sowing needle and sterilized that and a 16g horsehoe to stretch the holes to make the 14g go in easier then i marked the holes with a permanent marker and used a ruler to makeshure they were exact length apart and madeshure it was an half of an inch away from my lip.

Then i pushed the sowing needle in going fast as to not prolonging the pain if u cant deal with pain al too much use ice or a toothache pain reliever to num your lip then after i got the sowing needle all the way in i pushed the 16g horseshoe in to stretch the hole and left it in for abt an hr then i pushed the 14g in and i did all this to the 2nd hole and once they were in i sterilized the holes and kept doing tht for abt 3 weeks makng shure i didnt get them infected this is not an impulse thing if you do it yourself u have to plan these things out or it will get infected if things are not planed out its a great piercing and i feel accomplished knowing i did it myself.

I decided to get my Tragus pierced after seeing a girl with a beautiful diamond stud in hers at a pub one night. It looked gorgeous!

I had never noticed anyone with one before – I thought it looked fantastic. After that, I did notice a few around but not many. So at 26, I made an appointment!

I went to the clinic that had pierced my belly button 12 months earlier. That grew out in the end, sometimes they just don’t work and that’s that! They told me that Tragus piercings generally heal pretty well unless something unpleasant happens like a blow to the ear or if you keep fiddling with it. My appointment was not for another 2 days, so I continued to research it to see what kind of experience I was in for. Most of what I read by people who had had it done said it was no big deal – but then I found the internet videos of people actually having it done – big mistake! Most people were screaming in pain as it was done (some before the needle had even came near them…) and thrashig around in the chairs… “Oh dear…” I thought. I thought about when I had had my ears pierced, and the top cartilage in my right ear, and my belly button (twice), and couldn’t remember it being all that bad… but I couldn’t get those screaming little girls out of my head! I came to the conclusion that most videos of piercings wouldn’t make it to the net if they weren’t action packed full of drama and screaming.

Then some mates told me of people they knew who had thrown up and passed out while getting it done… yay… I decided that although I thought I would be alright, I better call in some back-up to come with me in case I had a “funny turn”. Luckily, my boyfriend wasn’t working that day, so he became by backup driver.
My piercer was lovely. She explained it all to me before I went in, and as she had her own Tragus pierced I guessed she should know what she was talking about. She told me to sit down on the bed while she put my backup driver to work…

He had a very important job to do, he had to hold the wooden paddle stick behind my ear so the needle didn’t pop out the other side and go further than it had to. She explained that while she would usually do this herself, it gave the guests something useful to do and stop them fidgeting and putting the patient off! She had all the equipment ready to go, the only thing that was not packed in sterile wrapping was the 16 x 10 surgical stainless steel bar which would be my first piece of jewelry. This she had removed from the cabinet and cleaned while we were waiting to go in. She cleaned, marked and clamped the Tragus and made sure my man was holding the wooden paddle tightly and in the right place, and pierced it with a plastic needle.

To me, I guess it hurt a bit, but nothing to serious… it seemed no different to my belly button had apart from the loud squishing noise of the needle going though (amplified because it was close to my ear). When the plastic needle was though, the back of the bar was inserted into the neede and pulled into position. The ball was screwed on, and the process was complete! My man was so proud of the job that he did holding the wooden paddle, he wanted to keep the stick and take it home! He nearly got it through the door before I spotted it and told him to throw it away – I am the first to admit that I like keepsakes, but that was just ridiculous!

My ear felt hot for a couple of hours afterwards, and occasionally gets itchy inside the ear (I suspect that it may be run-off cleaning solution causing this – if I tilt my head when I clean it so the solution runs out, my ear doesn’t itch). My piercer told me to clean it twice a day with Ear Care solution. After 8 weeks I am able to change the jewelry, although it may hurt to lay on it for up to a year. I remember when I got my ear cartilage done 10 years ago it took close to a year to sleep comfortably on that side, so I am prepared for that. I am also told that wearing bud headphones is a no no until it has healed properly – !
old school hollowed out headphones it is then!

If the piercing continues to go well with just the Ear Care solution, I will stick to that. If it changes, I will investigate soaking it in sea salt. I think that I never quite got the salt mix right when attempting to heal my belly button, it often itched quite a bit after soaking it and would feel quite dry… So unless I have to I will just stick with what my piercer told me.

After my belly button ring growing out I have learnt my lesson on buying heaps of jewelry before I am sure the piercing will heal properly. I bought lots of pretty belly bars from all over the internet which are now useless. I will allow myself to buy one sparkly tragus stud though. I have seen some really nice ones on the internet… I like my shiny things!

Well my first piercing ever was my monroe.

I had pierced it myself under a being a rebel act. You can say I was bored and the regular parents said no, pretty much made me do it even more.

I sat in the washroom using a earing of mine to pierce my lip, it actually worked too. It didn’t hurt one bit either, so you can say i thought i was cool for doing so too. I got cuaght by my step-mother and i had to take it off. But it did heal and i had no infection even though i didnt do it how it needed to be done.

Some months went by and i went on vacation, I went and got it professionally done and i also got my belly button pierced also at that time. It was funny because i had one guy piercing my lip while the other was piercing my bellly button. I began to cry thinking they already had pinched me when i come to find out they have not even started. I felt like such a dork and the guys where luaghing because i freaked out and they didnt even began to pierce.

The guys where really funny and got my mind ofthe piercing part and also told me how to take care of my piercings too. I wont ever pierce anything myself ever again because you just never know. And the guys warned me not to either!

I decided to get my first piercing other than my lobes when i was 15. I decided that I would get my tragus pierced.

I wasnt very sure what all was going to happen, because it was kinda a spurr of the moment thing. But the reason i thought of it, was because, my mom & sister got a tattoo & I wasnt old enough yet to get one, so i just decided to get a piercing.

My cousin had her tragus done & i thought it was really cute, so thats how i decided to do that specific one. I went to the place, my mom & sister went to, to get there tattoo, for my piercing. It was at “just a little prick” i deffinatly reccomend that place btw.

But anyways, once i got in there, we had to fill out some paper work & we payed, which it was 35$. She told be to sit down on the piercing bed, & she told me to lay my head to the side, & while i did that, she showed me the needle, & she cleaned everything. & then she marked my tragus, & told me to breathe in and out, while i breathed out, she stuck the needle thru, followed y the hoop. It wasnt a great pain, but it did sting. afterward. my ear was very hot, & it hurt to touch.

But i cleaned it with wound wash & after about, a month or so, it still wasnt healed, but it had developed, like a puss pouch & i popped it which was very painful. But she said it was “normal” & I just needed to clean it more. Its been about 8 months now, & it is completly healed & looks adorable, i deffinatly reccomend it, now i have 10 piercing & more to come
